ORES 2320 Interprofessional Health Outcomes Research

Prerequisites:  IPE 1100
Required for Minor in Interprofessional Practice

This course was developed in collaboration with the SLU Center for Health Outcomes Research (SLUCOR) to strengthen student’s readiness to identify and document future changes and efforts in interprofessional collaborative practice with corresponding outcomes for patients. The courses is provided as part of the Minor in IPP by SLUCOR and introduces skills in effective and efficient searching for evidence-based health care focusing on outcomes of collaborative practice for improving health status.  Students will identify outcome variables to be measured and methods used in conducting outcomes research.  Students will learn how to search and critically evaluate the literature and develop a plan for evaluating an interprofessional collaboration on health outcomes.
